Anastasia Danilenko is a graphic designer by profession. But her area of realization has become painting, and such a traditional painting genre as portraiture. Although it cannot be called traditional in Danilenko’s intentions. “I paint images and forms. Color spots and lines. My characters in the paintings have their eyes closed. Without looking a person in the eye, we see much more,” says the artist. Her portraits are rather works about herself and her relationship with the world. Anastasia Danilenko’s portraits are confessional, regardless of the image captured. The artist is concerned not so much with a specific appearance, but with the very essence of the shell that hides a person within.
